Author Guidelines

Econvergence: Journal of Economics, Management, and Business Strategy welcomes high-quality manuscripts that align with the journal’s Focus and Scope. To ensure an efficient and fair peer-review process, authors must strictly follow the guidelines below.

Important Notice
Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines or do not use the official journal template will be rejected immediately without review (Desk Reject).


1. General Requirements

  • Language
    Manuscripts must be written in clear, academic English. Either US or UK spelling is acceptable, provided consistency is maintained throughout the manuscript. Authors are strongly encouraged to use professional language-editing or proofreading services prior to submission.

  • File Format
    Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
    PDF files are not accepted.

  • Word Count
    The manuscript length must be between 4,000 and 8,000 words, excluding references and appendices.

  • Originality
    Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.


2. Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts should follow the IMRaD structure: Introduction, Methodology, Results, and Discussion.

A. Title

  • Concise, clear, and informative

  • Maximum 15 words

  • Avoid abbreviations, acronyms, and formulas

B. Abstract

  • Maximum 250 words

  • Written as one unstructured paragraph

  • Must explicitly include:

    • Purpose: Main objective of the study

    • Method: Research design, data, or analytical approach

    • Results: Key findings

    • Implications: Theoretical and/or practical contributions

Keywords
Provide 3–5 keywords immediately after the abstract, separated by semicolons.
Example: Digital Economy; SME Strategy; Inflation Targeting


C. Introduction

  • Provide a clear background and context of the study

  • Explicitly identify the research gap

  • Clearly state the research questions or objectives at the end of the section

  • Avoid extensive literature reviews in this section


D. Literature Review

  • Discuss relevant theories and prior empirical studies

  • Develop a conceptual or theoretical framework

  • Present hypothesis development (if applicable)

  • Priority should be given to recent literature (last 10 years)


E. Methodology

  • Provide sufficient detail to ensure reproducibility

  • Clearly describe:

    • Research design

    • Population and sample

    • Data collection methods

    • Data analysis techniques (e.g., SEM-PLS, EViews, Stata, SPSS, NVivo)


F. Results and Discussion

  • Results
    Present findings clearly and objectively using tables and figures where appropriate. Avoid repeating numerical data already shown in tables or figures.

  • Discussion
    This is the core section of the manuscript. Authors must:

    • Interpret findings critically

    • Compare results with prior studies (supporting or contradicting)

    • Explain underlying reasons and implications of the findings


G. Conclusion

  • Summarize key findings concisely (without repeating results verbatim)

  • Present policy implications and/or managerial recommendations

  • Clearly state study limitations

  • Provide directions for future research


3. Formatting and Technical Specifications

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line Spacing: 1.15

  • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides

Tables

  • Must be editable (not images)

  • Number consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.)

  • Table titles placed above the table

Figures

  • Minimum resolution 300 DPI

  • Number consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.)

  • Figure titles placed below the figure


4. Citations and References

  • Referencing Style: APA Style (7th Edition)

  • Reference Management Software:
    Use of tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is mandatory.

Reference Quality Requirements

  • Minimum 20 references

  • At least 80% must be from primary sources (reputable international journals)

  • Most references should be published within the last 10 years

  • Avoid non-academic sources (e.g., Wikipedia, personal blogs)

APA 7th Examples

  • Journal Article

5. Double-Blind Peer Review Policy

To maintain the integrity of the double-blind peer-review process, authors must ensure anonymity.

  • Main Manuscript File
    Must NOT include author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or any identifying information.

  • Title Page (Separate File)
    Must include:

    • Manuscript title

    • Full author names

    • Institutional affiliations

    • Email addresses

    • ORCID iDs

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to confirm that their manuscript complies with all of the following items. Submissions that do not adhere to these requirements may be returned to the authors without review.


✔ Originality and Exclusivity

The manuscript has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal.
If any part of the manuscript has appeared elsewhere (e.g., thesis or conference paper), a clear explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor.


✔ File Format

The manuscript is submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
PDF files are not accepted for the main manuscript.


✔ Anonymity (Double-Blind Peer Review)

To ensure the integrity of the Double-Blind Peer Review process:

  • The main manuscript file contains no author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or identifying information.

  • A separate Title Page file has been prepared and uploaded, containing author names, affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID iDs.


✔ Formatting and Style Compliance

The manuscript strictly follows the Author Guidelines, including:

  • IMRaD structure (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion);

  • Abstract (maximum 250 words) and 3–5 Keywords;

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt;

  • Proper headings, tables, and figures formatting as required.


✔ References and Citations

  • All citations and references follow APA Style (7th Edition);

  • A reference management tool (Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote) has been used;

  • At least 80% of references are from primary sources (peer-reviewed journals) published within the last 10 years.


✔ Language Quality

The manuscript is written in clear, academic English.
The author confirms that the manuscript has been professionally proofread or reviewed by a native English speaker to eliminate grammatical and stylistic errors.


✔ Ethical Compliance

  • Plagiarism: The manuscript is original and has a similarity index below 20%;

  • Conflict of Interest: All potential conflicts of interest have been fully disclosed, or a “no conflict” statement has been provided;

  • Authorship: All listed authors have made significant scholarly contributions and have approved the final version of the manuscript.

Privacy Statement

1. Commitment to Privacy

Econvergence: Journal of Economics, Management, and Business Strategy is firmly committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all users of the journal website, including authors, reviewers, editors, and readers. The journal adheres to applicable national and international data protection regulations, including the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


2. Data Collection

The data collected from registered and non-registered users is limited to what is necessary for the normal operation of a peer-reviewed scholarly journal. This may include:

  • Personal Information: Names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, postal addresses, and telephone numbers.

  • Professional Identifiers: ORCID iDs, biographical statements, and research interests.

  • System and Usage Data: IP addresses, browser information, cookies, and site usage metrics, collected solely to support the technical functionality, security, and performance of the journal website.


3. Use of Data

Personal data collected by the journal is used exclusively for legitimate scholarly publishing purposes, including:

  • Editorial and Peer Review Processes: Managing manuscript submission, peer review, editorial decisions, and publication workflows.

  • Scholarly Communication: Contacting authors, reviewers, and editors regarding manuscript status, review requests, and journal-related communications.

  • Indexing and Archiving: Sharing article metadata (e.g., author names, affiliations, titles, abstracts) with trusted third-party services such as Scopus, Google Scholar, DOAJ, and digital preservation networks including PKP Preservation Network (LOCKSS) to ensure discoverability and long-term accessibility.

  • DOI Registration: Transmitting required metadata to Crossref for the assignment and maintenance of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).


4. Data Disclosure and Sharing

  • No Commercial Use
    The journal does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.

  • Public Scholarly Record
    Author names, institutional affiliations, and contact email addresses are published with articles and are publicly available as part of the permanent scholarly record.

  • Reviewer Confidentiality
    Reviewer identities and review data are treated as strictly confidential and are not disclosed to authors or third parties, in accordance with the journal’s Double-Blind Peer Review policy.


5. User Rights

Registered users have the right to access, update, or correct their personal profile information at any time by logging into the journal website. Requests for data deletion may be submitted; however, personal data associated with published articles (such as author names and affiliations) cannot be removed, as they form an integral and permanent part of the academic record.
